After driving the beautiful Spreetshoogte Pass, one reach Namibgrens Guest Farm, which lies in a mountainous area.
Namibgrens means "Border of the Namib", which is actually true, since this is the area between the kalahari desert and the Namib desert.
Both of these deserts have its own character and this route that we travelled served very well to demonstrate those differences. Both have a magical effect on the visitor and once visited, the traveller always longs to go back.
Namibia is a magic place for the independent traveller who is also a nature-lover, since the camps that were developed here are so full of character, which normally accentuates the surrounding natural scenery.
Namibgrens is another beautiful example of this beautifully integrated camps, even if it sports a swimming pool and large tents, it was done in such a way that one can actually begin to identify with the rock-rabbits around you.
At Namibgrens, if you ae note a camper, you can stay in en-suite rooms, campsites at the farmhouse or in one of the campsites in the mountain. These campsites are very well laid out with each its own ablution facilities, a large tent, a cooking and socializing area and a communal pool.
There are also facilities for conferences, a restaurant and bar facilities, hiking, 4x4 drives and hikes.
We recommend Namibgrens Guest Farm for an adventurous stayover as well as a longer visit for a couple or large groups of up to thirty people per campsite.
