Phiri Camp at Molopo Game Reserve

Most of the infrastructure built at the Molopo Game Reserve has fallen into disrepair and disuse over time, except to a degree, Phiri Camp situated deep into the reserve.

The reason for this neglect must be based on the fact that this park is rather remote. Not a lot of people visit the place, which is exactly what many a nature lover wants. In fact, for nature lovers who love camping, this is pure heaven.

This camp is also ideal for a family get-together or a larger group who wants to spend a very enjoyable time in the kalahari wilderness, because the camping sites are spaced far and wide in the bush.

There is a healthy population of wild animals as well as birds, with squirrels in the camping area who serves as a source of fun to the campers who are able to watch their antics from close by.

Species that you often see here are Springbuck, Kudu, Wildebeest, Hartebeest, Oryx, Warthog, Ostrich and other smaller species. The birdlife is also prolific, ensuring a lot of activity for bird watchers to enjoy.

We Love the quiet and remoteness of the Molopo Game Reserve for a quiet bush experience amongst a lot of game and birdlife.

The camp also have a hide within walking distance from where one can see the animals coming by for a drink and also their interactions with each. Many birds also visit this waterhole

Once you are settled in, a trip through the reserve will yield a good amount of wildlife, while there's also another hide near another waterhole where one may spend time watching the birds and the animals. All very peaceful and quiet.

If you can manage to visit outside of season, you are almost guaranteed to be alone or almost alone in this Park.
