Canon Roadhouse, Fish River Canyon Namibia

Canon Roadhouse, right next to the C37, has been a landmark for many years. It has been a place where you can stop and drink something cold while enjoying a good meal, protected against tha harsh desert conditions outside on hot days, or sitting outside on milder days.

Currently, the place still offers all that, just a lot better after renovations was done and the place received a bit of a facelift.

Also added was camping and accommodation. We tried the camping area and can report quality ablutions and neat camping spots under Camelthorn trees. Camping there is really good.

While we did not make use of the brick-and-mortar accommodation, we only heard and read good things about that as well. The place have a good atmosphere and one feel welcome there.

While we feel that they went a bit overboard in the toilets with their humor, we liked the old car theme in the main restaurant area. Being rather old ourselves, we could associate with these old transporters and some of them brought back very happy memories.

Enquire about activities offered. They offer a few drives and flights that promises to be good adventures.

We recommend Canon Roadhouse as one of the best places to visit in the area. It is a very good spot for families and couples to spend a few days.
