Olifants Camp is situated on top of a hill which towers over the Olifants River. The views from the lookout platforms allow one to see the river below, just as an eagle would see it from the sky.

The surrounding area offers plenty of elephant, hippo, lion, hyena, as well as panoramic views over the Olifants River. A visit to the Elephant Museum at Letaba Rest Camp is well worthwhile.
