The surrounding area offers plenty of elephant, hippo, lion, hyena, as well as panoramic views over the Olifants River. A visit to the Elephant Museum at Letaba Rest Camp is well worthwhile.
Tamboti is a satellite camp of Orpen Rest Camp. it is situated in the south western section of the Kruger National Park. There is no shop and you need to obtain everything you need when you check inat Orpen Camp. All the tents overlook the Timbavati River and the sunsets are breath-taking.
It is an ideal location to start your trip through the Blyde River Canyon.
The Blyde River Canyon is the third largest canyon in the world.
Be sure to allow a whole day to stop off at all the panoramic view points like the Three Rondawels, Berlin Falls, God's Window, as well as quaint towns like Pilgrim;s Rest, Lydenburg and Dullstroom on your route from Kruger National Park to Pretoria.
