Botsalano Game Reserve

Botsalano is more than just a nice place to sleep over when going somewhere else. It has a bush character of its own and it can stand on its own feet as a weekend or long weekend destination. Going for a week may be a bit much, but it should be OK for those over seventy, who want to be alone for a long time.

The place has a few camping sites and a safari tent camp that's rented out to one party at a time, called Mogobe Camp. It is situated at the Mogobe waterhole and has four two-bed tents with the ablutions and a great lapa nearby.

This camp is ideal for a family get-together or a larger group who wants to spend a very enjoyable time in the wild, but still with every amenity available.

The tent/caravan sites are also beautiful, with the one near the gate a bit near the road and day visitor's area to be truly quiet, but the campsite at the foot of a far kopje is perfect for quite a large party.

Wildlife in Botsalano is actually surprisingly prolific, with Springbuck, Kudu, Wildebeest, Hartebeest, Oryx, smaller species and also one of the big species not in short supply for a smallish park like Botsalano. The birdlife is also prolific, ensuring a lot of activity for twitchers.

We recommend Botsalano Game reserve for a quiet bush experience amongst a lot of game and birdlife.
