For the camping and caravanning enthusiasts, the reserve has 30 large campsites. Each camp site measures 20 m x 20 m and has it's own fireplace and grid. Some of the camp sites come complete with power points. A site that has power must be requested when booking. In addition, the reserve offers freezer facilities to store camper's food and drinks for the duration of their stay. The reserve has a small shop (run from the office) for those extra chips, cold drinks and ice etc that you might require. Wood, charcoal and firelighters are also available. Should the weather turn bad the reserve has a lapa area which is available to all campers for shelter or even braaing purposes

The majestic Magaliesberg mountains is home to Kgaswane Mountain Reserve. The Summit trail is a two day backpack trail and covers a distance of just over twenty five kilometres with the chance of seeing the rare and shy Sable antelope, Zebra and many other game species. The basecamp accommodates twelve people and has beds, mattresses and standard ablutions. It also has a covered social/dinning area. The braai area is not under cover so it is advisable to take cooking facilities with you. The trail has many things to recommend it, including spectacular views, diverse animal life and interesting rock formations. However the trail requires a fair degree of fitness and if done during the summer months, because of the heat, an early start is essentual.
