Under tall shady trees on the bank of a dry riverbed nature lovers find attractive and well-shielded camping sites at Cañon Roadhouse Campsite. Toilets and bathroom facilities are built from the area's natural stones. The flat hillock behind the camping site affords grand vistas of the scenery and lends itself as just the spot for sundowners. Camping guests are welcome to use the swimming pool at Cañon Roadhouse (a 2 minutes' walk) as well as the restaurant and bar. There you won't only enjoy the break from your campsite cooking but you will also find yourself carried back to the good old time of the automobile: you dine amidst lovingly arranged bodywork and other exhibits of yesteryear's transportation.

The Fish River Canyon is the largest canyon in the Southern Hemisphere and second in size only to the Blue Nile Gorge in Ethiopia on the African continent. It is one of the main tourist attractions in the south of the country.The Hobas Camping Site is situated 10km from the main viewpoint along the access road to the canyon. It has a kiosk with basic supplies and a swimming pool. Maximum 8 persons per site.

Desert Horse Inn also has a camping facilities, 1.5 km from the Inn, and consists of ten separate camping sites.

Little Hunter's Rest: your individual desert experience in Namibia. If you prefer the outdoors and wish to camp in the wilderness we offer you your individual desert and nature experience at our campsite Little Hunter's Rest. The camp site offers five single sites spread far apart and one group site, accommodating up to 12 people. The Bruckaros Mountain stands above the plains of southern Namibia like a sentinel - the views are astounding. Facilities on the slopes of the mountain (4x4). There are 3 individual campsites each site has shade, wind break & braai. Toilet & bush shower and a Picnic site - wind break & shade. At the foot of the mountain a camping area suittable for all vechicles is available. Please note that there is no electricity. Please bring own water (available in Berseba). Nearby attractions include: Quiver Tree Forest (1 hr 30 mins) and Fish River Canyon (4-5 hours). Bruckaros campsite is a community based initiative supported by NACOBTA.

Auob Lodge, in the Kalahari, offers 17 campsites, electricity point at each site (24 hours, 220V), self-braai facilities at each camp, tents, caravans and motor homes accepted, ablution facilities with hot and cold water and wash up facilities. The red dunes of the Kalahari are in strong contrast to the white calcareous rocks of the valley formed by the Auob River. In an area of 8000 ha around the lodge, various antilope, giraffe, smaller mammals and many bird species can be seen.

The Red Dune Camp currently comprises of 2 exclusive self catering camp sites on top of a red Kalahari dune.These unique camp sites are a down-to-earth and close-to-nature experience. At the farm yard are 5 grassed camp sites and 2 Bed & Breakfast rooms. Also available is a Luxury Tent on top of another red dune.

Grunau Country House has four caravan-/campsites with water- and electricity points. Rooms and bungalows also available.

Barby Guest Farm currently offers 3 private campsites, each with a water point, dustbin, wash up facility for dishes and self-braai facility, There are communal ablution facilities with hot and cold water and washing facility (for laundary). No electricity points. The campsites are set far apart to ensure privacy and peace. Just the place for a very quiet camping experience. Chalet accommodation also available.

The Quivertree Forest Rest Camp, located on the farm Gariganus just 13 km north-east of Keetmanshoop on road M29, offer tourists comfortable accommodation amid a pristine Namibian landscape. Our Camping sites are euipped with barbeque facilities, hot showers, WC and electricity. On the farm visitors can explore the ancient and famous Quivertree Forest and the dolerite rock formations of the Giants Playground at their leisure. The quiver tree or "Kokerboom" is one of the most interesting and characteristic plants of the very hot and dry parts of Namibia and the northwestern part of the Cape Province in South Africa. Actually it is no tree, but an aloe plant. The botanical name is ALOE DICHOTOMA. The trees in the forest are natural. No trees have been planted by humans. The quiver tree forest was declared as a national monument on 1 June 1955. The big trees in the forest are between 200 and 300 years old.

This wonderful camping site at Little Sossus is only 8km from the lodge, giving you one of the most spectacular views over the valley. It is close to the highway C19 only 20 minute drive from Sesriem / Sossusvlei. A maximum of 7 persosn per site.

The Camping facilities at bullspoort Guest Farm is exclusive for one group at any given time. ( p to 8 tents/10 persons.) The clients may not make use of the guest farm amenities. For meals and tours on request the in-house guests do have priority. The site is 4 kms away from the guest farm locality tucked away in the mountains, with sedan access. 2 showers (hot water if wood is brought along or bought in the shop), 2 flush toilets, 2 sinks for cleaning of cutlery and lapa with roof for shade.

At Farm Wildpark our guests will enjoy the great hospitality, farm life and typical cuisine, only the south can offer. We offer 4 cosy double rooms, but whoever wants to enjoy the never-ending starlit sky only Namibia can offer, is welcome to use our 3 campsites at the farm dam.

The lodge lies on the edge of the Southern Kalahari in the mixed tree and shrub Savanna. The ranch is characterised by huge red sands dunes running parallel, and in a northern-westerly to south-easterly direction. The valleys in between the parallel dunes are commonly known as `streets'. Bagatelle Kalahari Game Ranch has opened FIVE individual campsites. Set in a wide `street' between the red sand dunes, each campsite has it's own dedicated ablution block, toilet, shower, washbasin and mirror. It is fully tiled, hot water supplied by modern gas geysers and solar lights. Relax around a campfire and enjoy the Kalahari night - YOUR OWN CAMPING SAFARI!

Spend the night under the southern night sky, out at the back of beyond in the African tree and shrub savannah of the Kalahari - this experience is offered by the campsite at Kalahari Anib Lodge. There are several dozen metres between the three sites, and each of them will be allocated to only one party (max. 4 persons) at a time. Each of the sites is equipped with toilet, shower, basin and barbecue area as well as a shade roof and power point. Camping guests are welcome to use the swimming pool at Kalahari Anib Lodge (a 5 minutes' walk) and to visit the restaurant and bar.

Kalahari Farmhouse offers eight camping sites on clean, cool lawn shaded by palm trees offer an idyllic rural ambience to those who are looking for peace and seclusion in the open air.

River Chalets also have private camping sites, each with its own ablution facilities. The ideal stopover for families, hunters, fishermen and businessmen alike.

The camping facilities at Camp Provenance on the Orange river, offer a great setting for sleeping under the stars. There are communal ablution blocks with showers.

Norotshama River Resort is a pristine, malaria-free resort and offers a host of activities for the discerning traveller. They also cater for campers.

The Vogelstrausskluft Campground is located directly at the 'shores' of the dry pan. The campground is accessible from the main access road (no 4x4 necessary, overlanders are welcome). Each of the four campsites has an own large braai area, water and electricity and can accommodate up to 10 tents around a preset fire place. The small camping area is equipped with 8 hot water showers, 6 toilets, a thatched-roof bar and a place to do laundry and washing dishes. If you like breakfast, lunch and dinner can be served at the close by restaurant of the Vogelstrausskluft Lodge (walking distance about 5 minutes). Vogelstrausskluft Lodge is situated alongside the upper part of the Fish River Canyon, at the edge of the Kalahari.

Betesda Lodge , 38 km from Sesriem, a get-away or just an overnight stop .If you feel to enjoy nature fist hand then you can camp out under a big tree with braai facilities and hot water at the ablution block. Experience the clear sky at night with the sounds of jackal in the background. The camping site is within walking distance from the dining area and swimming pool. To further you experience with nature our guide can take you horse riding on the farm between the koppies and mountains to experience the breathtaking views of the Namib.

Capricorn Rest Camp is situated next to the Naukluft Mountains and is ideally suited as stop-over en route from Windhoek to Sossusvlei or from the South to the coast.

Hammerstein Lodge has camping sites available.

There are 10 camping sites with communal ablution facilities at Kudus Rus and are located near the Naukluft River.

At the entry to Sossusvlei is Sesriem Canyon. As a result of erosion over many centuries, a narrow gorge of about one kilometre in length was formed about 30 to 40 metres deep. Early explorers had to tie six lengths of thongs together to draw water from the pools in the canyon, hence the name "Sesriem". 20 Camping Sites in the shades of ancient camel thorn trees. Each Camping Site has its own Fire Place and Water Point Communal Ablution Facilities. A swimming pool is also available.

Sossus Oasis Camp has 12 camping units in the camp site, arranged in a semi-circle to afford privacy with views, Each unit has its own toilet, washbasin, hot/cold shower, kitchen wash-up facility, light, BBQ and 220V electricity point. Other centralised facilities include a sparkling pool and, just a short walk away, a fully stocked shop, take-away meals, groceries, toiletries, drinks, ice, internet, clothing, curios, fuel, diesel and tyre workshop.

Facilities at Agama River Camp include Private Shaded Campsites with running water, wash up facility and braai area. River sand under foot for dust free camping and easy tent erection. Shared ablution facilities with showers & baths (hot & cold running water). Swimming Pool. Bar facilities and dining available on request. Full Package (dinner, excursion, camp site)/ Please note that camp do not sell ice or fire wood.

Namibgrens offers 5 camping sites alongside farm house and 12 camping sites at the Mountain Camp (private) - each site with own ablution facilities. 2 to 30 persons per site.
