Camping Sites and Caravan Stands in Southern Africa

Omarunga Camp offers nine camping sites with ablution blocks (hot water) next to the river. Swimming in the river is not allowed - there are crocodiles! Campers can also enjoy meals in our restaurant, but must please book in advance. Luxury en-suite chalets are also available.

Within a 15 minute drive from the Twyfelfontein Rock Art, Aba Huab provides a well shaded campsite on the banks of a dry riverbed, with the chance of also spotting the elusive desert elephant". Facilities availabe at Aba Huab. A variety of different campsites situated along the banks of the Aba Huab dry (can be wet in rainy season) riverbank. Total capacity is approx. 120 persons.  Ablution blocks with flushing toilets and hot and cold showers.  Sites vary but may have fireplaces (no grills), tables, benches, water taps etc.  "A" frame thatched shelters (2/3 persons - suit campers looking for different experience. Bar with cool drinks & snacks. Local guides are available. Clothes washing service. Aba Huab is a community based initiative supported by NACOBTA. Dinner, Bed and Breakfast avaialble on request.

Camp Xaragu consists of 10 spacious campsites with own braai area and enough shade for you and your vehicle and self catering en-suite Safari Tents as well as 5 standard Tents (sharing the ablution facilities), also with own shade parking, rock garden and braai area. The sites are well chosen to give you the utmost space to enjoy and relax and feel the unspoilt wilderness surrounding you. (You do not need to look onto your neighbors plate). We have no telephone, but radio for the case of an emergency. There ist no electric supply, but we have wonderful oil lamps to give a special feeling.

Spend a night or two at this very new and tranquil Granietkop campsite and get to Twyfelfontein Rock Art within 30 minutes. Just you, on your own, admiring nature's wonders and for once, listening to just your inner self." There are a variety variety of sites situated along the sites of the granite rock. The ablution blocks have flushing toilets and hot and cold showers. There are Fireplaces and sinks at all sites and locally trained guides are available. Nearby attractions include:  Twyfelfontein Rock Art (30 mins).  Burnt Mountain / Organ Pipes (35 mins).  Petrified Forest (1 hr). Camping facilities are provided for 20 stands. Other facilities include a restaurant and swimming pool. Self-catering en-suite stone houses and standard rooms also available. Khorixas Lodge is the ideal stopover between Etosha and the Kunene region and the Skeleton Coast Park. Nestled in the hills of Damaraland, it provides a relaxing environment for travelers, weary after a day's exploration. The area is an explorer's paradise where guests can visit the land of the Welwitschia mirabilis at Brandberg, curious stone formations, the petrified forest, ancient rock engravings and experience other unusual geological phenomena.

iGowati Lodge has 10 campsites on green grass and under trees with braai spaces, running water and electricity points and clean ablutions with showers and toilets. We also have our own water supply (borehole) and a 90kva generator. Chalet accommodation is also available.

Long Beach Leisure Park offers 120 well appointed caravan/ camping sites, tidal pools and the dunes of the Namib Desert - for a relaxing holiday. The campsites all have electricity points and are served by ample ablution facilities. Long Beach features tidal pools, a restaurant, barbecue facilities, jetty bar, shop and play-park. The resort also has 2 self-catering chalets which accommodate 6 and 8 people respectively.

Our attractive campsites are all laid out in the tranquil shade of the jackalberry and leadwood trees. Campsite facilities include electricity power points (limited availability), braai (barbecue) area, separate communal ablution blocks for men and women. The blocks each have 4 WCs, 4 hot and cold showers and washbasins. Note: The generator runs for approximately 3 hours in the morning and 4 hours in the evening. Restaurant meals by special request only - subject to availability. The laundry service is not normally available for campers. Enjoy our unspoilt landscapes, wildlife and historic culture abound in this wild, remote part of Africa. We also offer accommodation in spacious de luxe air-conditioned rooms or rustic chalets.

The campsite at Opuwo Country Hotel has 12 camping spots available all with their own BBQ spot as well as an electrical point (24 hours, 220V). Tents, caravans and motor homes accepted. Ablution blocks are available for both ladies and gentlemen with running hot and cold water. Also at this venue are washbasins where pots and pans can be washed. Wood is for sale.

Palmwag Lodge offers 9 campsites with fire place and washing-up facilities, some with own toilet and shower. A la carte restaurant, bar, thatched lapa, pool and pool bar available. The lodge also offers bungalow and tented accommodation.

At the Hippo Pools Campsite you can Wake up with the sound of hippos, bird life and the distant Ruacana falls". The camping facilitiesare under Mopane and Acacia trees on the bank of the river. Firewood.is supplied and the ablution block has a toilet & shower. Braai facilities and the services of trained local guides are also available. The Hippo pools campsite is a a gateway to Epupa falls and Kaokoland. There is a a relaxing picnic nest to the river. Guided walks to the Ruacana falls. A diversity of rare bird species. The Hippo pools Campsite is a community based initiative supported by NACOBTA. Here you will have access to the Himba and Zemba people.

At Alte Brucke we have secure, top of the range camp sites, fully lawned and paved. Each stand has its own private bathroom, braai area, wash up and power point. Wireless Internet is accessible from any position on the premises. We also have self-catering chalets available.

At our restcamp we offer camping sites and parking lots for caravans. Our camping sites are safe and with a lot of space located behind our farm. Big trees and sunroofs offer shade and protection from the southwester in the wintertime. We pay much attention to our sanitary facilities. At present we offer 6 toilets and 6 showers for our camping guests. Some campsites are equipped with electricity points and lights.

Terrace Bay is an angler's paradise offering an absolutely unsurpassed coastal experience packed into one destination. The camp is ideal for anglers, families looking for a getaway holiday or ardent adventurers looking to explore the Uniab River delta. It is set in an undisturbed and peaceful surrounding enveloped in the sand dunes of the northern Namib Desert. The camp caters for a maximum of 50 people thus ensuring minimum human induced impact on the environment as well an enhanced wilderness experience for the visitor.

Torra Bay camping site is a popular fishing retreat. There are 60 campsites. Only basic amenities and communal ablution facilities are available. Visitors have to bring all equipment along. Only open in December, January. Shop and petrol station. Similar facilities are available at Mile 108, Mile 72 and Jakkalsputs.

The Brandberg Rest Camp is located in an unspoilt rural area in Namibia. It is en-route between Swakopmund and the Etosha National Park. The Brandberg Area is also popular for its unspoilt beauty, desert elephant, herds of zebra and springbok roaming free in the wild. In addtion to camping facilities, the Brandberg Rest Camp also offers affordable accommodation in en-suite rooms, self catering accommodation, swimming pool, restaurant, bar and Internet facilities. Buy world famous brandberg crystals directly from small miners making a living from selling these crystals.

Brandberg White Lady Lodge every campsite has its own braai and water tap. Six ablution blocks with toilets and hot showers are spread over the site. A large and shady lapa, suitable for groups up to 40, complete this romantic spot in the river bed. We are very proud to be awarded as "most natural camp site", three years in a row. Accommodation is also offered in luxury tents, chalets or rooms.

Behind the main house at the White Lady B&B is a secure and neat camp with 12 sites, an ablution block, BBQ places and a splash pool. All camp sites fitted with power points and lights. Bird watching waterhole at camping site. Ideally situated for a relaxed atmosphere. Safe parking guaranteed and a must for the weary traveller to visit this little "oasis

For the campers, at Umaruru Kleines Nest, there are shady camping sites, ablution blocks and braai facilities. Relax next to the pool or have a fun filled 4x4 trip up the Omaruru River.

Lagoon Chalets offers 24 camping sites. Some with shared ablution and others with private ablution. All have hot water and electricity.
