Here at Santako Rest Camp you will have an opportunity to meet with and experience the traditions & culture of the Bushmen like you have never met them before. Learn our traditional ways of doing things - tracking, collecting veld food. We have very basic camping facilities. Fireplaces and ablution facilities. Satako Rest Camp is a community based initiative supported by NACOBTA. Satako is situated in an area know as "the Corridor", about two and a half hour drive from Gobabis. It can be reached in a normal 2x4 vehicle and there is a petrol station just 20 km away. The total distance from Gobabis is about 250 km
Location: Situated on top of Gamsberg Pass, 125km from Windhoek on the C26 and 235km from Walvis Bay.
There are four beautifully situated camping sites at Hakos Gastefarm with wonderful views over the countryside. The sites provide shade and wind protection. Two showers with hot water and two toilets are available.
Location: On the D1438 at the foot of the Gamsberg mountain. The connecting roads are to the east the C26 via Gamsberg Pass to Windhoek (190km) and to the west the C26 & C14 through the Kuiseb Canyon to Walvis Bay and Swakopmund (210 km).
Camping differently: at Rooiklip Guestfarm on a little hill next to huge rocks you find 3 nice camping sites integrated into rocks. We offer a shower (hot & cold), toilets and a fireplace. 2 - 6 Persons with 1 - 2 cars will find place on each site. Rooiklip is 1.035m above sea level in the middle of the escarpment with little vegetation. The only shade is given by huge rocks - there are no big trees.
Location: Rooisand Desert Ranch is situated on the C26, almost exactly halfway between Windhoek and Walvis Bay.

The Big 5 Central campsite is provided with bathrooms, 1 laundry room, 1 kitchen, 3 electrical points and a large braai area. Bottle store, freezing facilities, braai garden and all night security are only a few of the extended facilities available.
East Gate Rest Camp at Buitepos offers a wide variety of accommodation facilities for a stop-over on your Trans-Kalahari highway travel. The camp site provides for ablution facilities, electricity and barbecue pits and grills.
Harnas offers three camping sites with electrical points. Communal kitchen, showers and toilets available. No tents, fridge, or other camping equipment available at Harnas - camping is for self catering! Wood can be provided on request. Day visits are charged per person to guests that do not join any tours.
There are ten camping sites at Kalahari Bush Breaks, situated 2.5km from the lodge, and a waterhole. Breakfast and dinner can be enjoyed at the guest house and must be booked before 16h00. Ablution facilities are modern with a rustic touch, each camping site has its own fireplace and braaigrid with an electric light and 15 amp plug point. An eco camp site is in close proximity to the luxury campsites and are shaded by bastard umbrella thorn trees. The sites are grouped around an open-air ablution block and would serve the visitor who is on a limited budget or would really like to "rough it", hot water for the showers is provided by a "donkey". Guests can do a 4x4 route - please ask the gate attendant for the map - a per vehicle fee is payable.
At the edge of a dam, Trans Kalahari End Resort offers lawned camping and caravan sites and ablution facilities, braai facilities, restaurant, bar and kiosk. Self-catering chalets are also available.
Xain Quaz Camp offers campsites with water and electricity. Ablution facilities with hot water. Accommodation in thatched chalets, bungalows and tents is also available.
Zelda offers camping, with ablution facilities, close to the guest house. There are nine grassed camp sites with electricity and braai facilities. Other facilities include a lapa, bar, dining room, swimming pool, children's playground and camp sites. Accepted Credit Cards: VISA, Diners, MasterCard. Guest rooms are also available.

Camp Ombonde at Okahandja Country Hotel offers a shower or take a bath under the African skies, in open-air bathrooms. Private VIP campsites available. 220V plug points. Okomitundu Guestfarm offers a camp site which is fully supplied by the guest farm and a camp site for independent campers. Okomitundu offers a wide range of leisure options such as safaris, archery and riding. The farms vast and varied landscape provides a unique diversity of wild animals and plants.
Location: 12km north of Okahandja on the Hochfeld Road.
Ombo Rest Camp offers camping and caravan site with warm showers, power points and a big comfortable relaxing braai area. Our farmstall provides barbeque packs, fire wood, ice, soft drinks and other necessities. We also have a souvenir shop. Our family restaurant serves delicious meals. Bungalows, all fully equipped for self-catering, are also available.
At Kaumbangere Campsite you will have an opportunity to meet with and experience the tradition & culture of the Ovaherero people. We are ideally located as a gateway to Tsumkwe, Otjiwarongo and the North East through the Trans Caprivi Highway (under construction). Facilities are a Campsite with ablution facilities and a braai area - breakfast on request. Restaurant and bar facilities. Lunch and dinner on request. Traditional meals can be served on request. Location: From the B1, 7km to the west of Rehoboth
The 31 camping sites at Lake Oanob Resort are partly located at the waterfront, partly in the bush and are suitable for big/small tents as well as cars with roof tents, camper and caravans. Camping areas all with BBQ, drinkable water point, power point and light. Shade nets and close vicinity of trees cover a majority of campsites. High quality ablution facilities are provided with toilets, hot water and showers.
At Aabadi Bush Camp you have an oppertunity to get out of the car and experience nature on foot. A unique opportunity for a true interaction with local Namibians and an opportunity to see the skills and creativity of local crafts people in action. The facilities include: camp sites with ablution facilities. There are also traditional huts with en-suite ablution facilities and a restaurant. No self-catering facilities are available. Location: Situated on the banks of the dry Arebbusch River, the lodge nestles in natural surroundings yet is still within Windhoek's municipal limits.
Arebbusch Travel Lodge has Camping and Caravanning stands which are all located in shaded areas, mostly under shade nets. Each stand has its own power point and fresh water taps are provided throughout the site. Bathroom and kitchen facilities are located in a communal ablution block and there is a dedicated toilet for caravan septic tanks. Bed and Breakfast, self-catering and budget accommodation is also provided.
Düsternbrook Guest Farm offers offer a small fenced campsite with 4 to 5 stands for campers. The area is located just below some palm trees and has separate showers and toilets for ladies and gents. We offer 24-hour 220V electricity, warm water and a braai facility if you want to do self-catering. There are no noisy generators at night. Breakfast and a 3-course dinner (including coffee/ tea) may be enjoyed at the main house, by prior arrangement.

Namibgrens Rest Camp is situated on the escarpment that provides ever-lasting views over the Namib Desert. Different scenes from different angles are possible by either driving on the main road, guided farm tours or by hiking trails. Clean ablution blocks. , farm stall, self-guided hiking trails with over-night huts. (various options), guided farm tours and game drives to explore nature, the scenery and the spotting of some Eland, Oryx, Kudu, Mountain Zebra, Hartebees, Blesbok, Klipspringer, Duiker, Steenbok and Dassies, self-guided 4X4 trails, sunset drives and friendly and caring hosts.
Ziegie's camping ground offers a beautifully-built rustic bathroom with timber surrounds, and features an open air bath, as well as a separate family bathroom. We also have standard ladies and gents facilities. Water taps and power points are available. We have braais and a self-catering kitchen with hot and cold water. Meals are available upon request. We are licensed to serve soft liquor.
