Camping Sites and Caravan Stands in Southern Africa

Caravanning and camping facilities, electricity, ablution facilities, next to river. We also offer chalets: two bedroom, six bed, fully equipped for self catering. Tree house, Anglo-Boer Blockhouse and Bungalow. Hiking and 4x4 routes.

The caravan park has 60 campsites on the riverbank, equipped with Eskom electricity (three point plugs), and braai facilities. There is a scullery with warm and cold water for dish washing. The stands are ±10m x 10m and we allow up to 6 people per stand. 30 Stands are directly on the riverside from where fishing can be done. (bring a net with long handle). 10 Stands are on the riverfront, but isn't suitable for fishing and 20 stands are in the second row. Most of the campsites have grass and trees for shade, but the more shade there is, the more difficult it is to grow grass. There are two ladies and two men ablution blocks that, although they are rather old buildings, it is well attended, and we are busy improving

Smilin Thru Resort offers caravan and camp sites; electrical connections; hot and cold water/electric lights/power points; restaurant/shop/take-away. Fantastic fishing and rafting on our 2km of Vaal River frontage. A mecca for kids with swimming pools, crazy golf, tennis and play camp. Hotel and self catering options also available.
