Camping Sites and Caravan Stands in Southern Africa

On hillendale Farm you can camp at the big weir. Visit our lovely mountain farm, hike our trails, ride your mountain bike, try our 4x4 trails, picnic on the way and view birds and wildlife as you go. Self-catering accommodation in our historic home also available. Our main camp site is in a beautiful setting by the river, an ideal choice if you want to set up your own tent or vehicle. Of course you need to bring your own equipment and supplies. Firewood is available for purchase at the homestead, where you can also purchase fresh farm produce.

The Karoo National Park has 24 award-winning camping and caravan campsites amidst a veritable green oasis in the rugged Karoo environment with communal ablutions (shower and baths) and kitchen facilities with stove plates and scullery. All caravan sites equipped with 220V power points. A maximum of six persons, one caravan with a side tent and one vehicle, or one tent and one vehicle, or one autovilla or one motorised caravan will be permitted per site. Laundry with a washing machine and tumble drier.

At Rooiheuwel Guest Farm camping sites are situated under thorn trees.

Steenbokkie Private Nature reserve offers hospitality in the old traditional Karoo way. Enjoy the beautiful Karoo nights by a camp fire. The caravan park has 18 shady, grassed sites with electricity and clean ablutions.

The Wagon Wheel also has 16, 2-star rated caravan sites, all with electric points.

Sit en Rus Caravan Park is an ideal family stop-over. Six en-suite rooms each with two double beds. TV, tea and coffee making facilities.
