umThombe Kei River Lodge offers grassed campsites on the river-bank, with hot showers, washing up and braai facilities. The pulse of the river is felt in everything here: whether you are gliding along our kayaks, hiking to hidden pools, fishing for the legendary cob, or simply watching the sunset turn the cliffs to gold as the crowned cranes fly home to roost. Self catering accommodation also available.

Thirty camp and caravan sites terraced in two concentric semi-circles, each with its own sea view makes for a fantastic coastal, camping holiday destination. The center of the concentric rings is grassed and provides a safe environment for children to play. Each site has a grassed surface with adequate shade. The ablution block has hot and cold running water and flushing toilets. A scullery located in the ablution block provides for your washing up and basic laundry requirements. Communal washing lines are available for use behind the ablution blocks. Each campsite has its own 5 amp electric "caravan type" power point. You need to supply your connection.
We are just an hour from East London on the banks of the Inchara Lagoon. Enjoy canoeing, hiking, tennis, golf, horse riding and squash all just up the road. We have tent and caravan stands with electricity and water points close to sites. Self-catering accommodation available and a shop. There are ablutions with hot and cold water, laundry, childrens play area and a swimming pool. There is stunning bird life and a mile-long beach with dunes and rock pools to explore.
