Attractions include the Leon Taljaard Nature Reserve (holds a variety of wildlife); the Tierkloof (Tiger Kloof) Missionary Station (established as a stone church in 1904 by the London Missionary Station, now a national monument and restored as an educational institute); the Theiler Agricultural Museum & Cattle Research Centre (found on the farm Armoedsvlakte nortwest of Vryburg, named after sir Arnold Theiler famous for his research into cattle diseases); the Vryburg Museum; Bushman engravings and the Old Goal main gate.
