Campismo Sandalo Camp, Mozambique

Campismo Sandalo is situated between Aguia Pesqueira and Nhampfule. It is sometimes frequented by larger groups of campers, which makes it worth your while to skip this camp and move on to Nhampfule if time allows."

The camp consists of a circle, a central fireplace and an ablutions facility. The camp attendants live a little distance from the camp, which they keep in a clean state. This camp sometimes has water trouble with the pump not always working, so be sure to take enough water for you ablution needs as well as some drinking water for yourselves as well as some for the attendants who must drink the very brackish water they get when the pump is working. If you want to see a broad smile, give these guys some sweet water.

Sandalo, when you are alone, is a very good spot to camp and to enjoy the solitude and the night sounds. Although there are not many animals to be seen, there are lots of birds for those who want to tick a few off their lists.

GET OUR NEW E-BOOK "THE KRUGER IN 20 DAYS"

In order to help people to get to know the Kruger Park better, we wrote a book containing large pictures, short descriptions, GPS Coordinates and travel times of more than 300 waypoints like camps, picnic spots, waterholes, dams, viewpoints and other interesting points along all of the public roads of the Kruger Park

The book is written in the form of a 20-day tour, taking the reader on a virtual tour through the park, giving the reader a rare graphical oversight over the park. Use the many GPS Coordinates to enjoy a pre-visit to the different places on Google Earth to make your virtual tour even more fun!

Although it is possible to follow the routes in 20 days, few people have the time available to travel all the routes described in the book, therefore it will be a good idea to download the book and do the virtual tour and then, after that experience, to design your visit to the Park as well as the trips and places you want to see and experience against the background of your wider knowledge from the book.
