Elephants visit the lodge regularly. Each chalet is decorated with superb attention to detail and is equipped with everything from refrigerator to shampoo and mosquito repellent. Dinner is sometimes served by lamplight on the poolside deck overlooking the lagoon. Game drives and walks are conducted by an experienced and knowledgeable team of guides. Guests set off at first light or in the late afternoon when the wildlife is most active.

Accommodation is provided in 18 open-plan chalets, each with en-suite bathroom. One third of each chalet's perimeter can be opened, to allow the guest to enjoy the views, the sounds, the scents and the mood of the African wilderness. Each chalet has a large private deck overlooking one of the lagoon. The bathrooms have both bath and shower, with separate toilet. The bathing corner can be completely opened to offer guests an open-air bathing experience. Five Chalets are suites with an elevated sleeping area, to allow space for a double bed, and increased lounging area.
