Ntubu Camp | Masebe Nature Reserve | Limpopo Province | Ivory Route

From Pretoria to Ntubu Camp - Masebe Nature Reserve

The Masebe Nature Reserve is located on the eastern escarpment of the Waterberg, in beautiful scenic surroundings near the town of Marken, in the Limpopo Province of South Africa.

This 4,500 hectare provincial nature reserve is situated in an area characterized by dramatic sandstone cliffs, where an abundance of San rock art is to be found. The reserve is also stocked with game whilst leopard is apparently quite common.

The reserve is a joint venture between the Limpopo government and the Bakenberg community in which they are working together to promote tourism development.

Ntubu Camp's tented accommodation offers 5 safari style tents with a small deck and en-suite facilities (flush toilet and bucket system safari shower), each sleeping 2 persons. The tents are far apart and offers excellent privacy and comfort for guests at affordable rates.

Game drives and guided walking trails take one through the scenic beauty of the reserve in search of the elusive Kudu, Nyala, Eland and other antelope species present while the extraordinary large bird diversity makes Masebe an excellent birding destination.

The Masebe Wildlife Camp, also in the Masebe Nature Reserve, offers ten chalets for 4 - 7 people, each with own kitchen and braai area.
