Description:The main appeal of the little town Hartbeespoort Dam, south of the Magaliesberg Mountains, is the 56-km shoreline of the Dam.
Attractions include the Preller House (a national monument which was the home of Gustav Preller, a famous journalist and author in the late 1920s); the Cableway (to the summit of the Magaliesberg for an unforgettable view); Malakani Bird Sanctuary (a large variety of birds; entertaining bird shows form part of the fun); Snake and Animal Park (on the banks of the Hartbeespoort Dam - it houses a large variety of reptiles and animals).
