Be warned, Popa falls are not falls at all, rather a series of rapids, waterways and islands on the Okavango River. When the river is low the highest visible drop is about 3m. There is walkway into the middle of the river, after this you are free to scramble over the rocks in the middle of the river. At this point the channel is about 1km wide with the river split into a series of channels making their way through the rocks. The campsite suffers from the inflated park charges, but is set among lovely grassed lawns, by the water's edge. This is a popular spot for travellers on the way to Botswana and a convenient stopping place when travelling between Kavango and East Caprivi. The area is protected as a national park but is very small and apart from bird life, a few hippo and some crocodile there is little wildlife to be seen.
Most of our tent/caravan sites are set under beautiful shade trees with solar lighting, braai and washing water. Clean private ablution with solar heated showers. The camp is run on solar power for lighting and limited recharge of equipment. Beware crocodile, Hippo, Elaphant, Snakes and Mosquitoes. Fishing (Tiger, Bream, Barble) bank or boat, rods for hire. Unwind watch the birds, take a boat trip, guided walk or bicycle trail or just cool off in the plunge pool.

There is more than meets the eye when you book into one of NWR's camps; all situated in the heart of Namibia's National Parks. The campsite, at Island View Lodge, overlooks a wide expanse of river and consist of 24 campsites which can accommodate a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 8 people per campsite. Terminalia, Natal Mahogany and Acacia trees offer campers a shady canopy under which to erect their tents. Barbecues are provided at each campsite and electric plug points are available at a nominal fee. Onguma Campsite offers 6 camping sites with ablution facilities and firewood. Each campsite has its own shower, toilet and power point. One bundle of firewood is provided. The campsite is serviced on a daily basis. The camping guests are advised to bring along their own foodstuff. The facilities of Onguma Bush Camp are available to camping guests. Campers are welcome to relax in the beautiful surroundings and are even more welcome to enjoy either breakfast, lunch or dinner at the Bush Camp. Meals need to be booked at reception well in advance.
If you bring your own tent, you can even camp on the grounds of Zum Potjie Rest Camp. In the rural environment of our guest farm you can go for wonderful hikes, watch our birds or relax in our crystal clear swimming pool. And, you should visit our small farm museum, where you will discover interesting facts about the farm's history. Zum Potjie is the ideal place to stay overnight when touring to Kavango, Caprivi, Etosha National Park or Ovamboland. Day trips are also available on request. Van Zyl's Pass Campsite provides the perfect stop-off point to relax before tackling the infamous Van Zyl's Pass en route to the Marienfluss. Owned and managed by Otjitanda Conservancy. Tthis campsite is situated 20kms before the Pass, near the village of Otjihende, just off the main through-route from nearby Otjitanda. Visit the Ombalantu Baobab Tree and learn more about the history of the people of Ombalantu. The hollowed-out trunk of this tree has in the past been used as a post office and a chapel. It is worth learning more about how this could have been possible. The campsite is located at a former army base and is therefore rich in pre-independence history. Sasa Safari Camp is a unique rock camp built on the slopes of the Ugab Terrace with panoramic views of the nearby Paresis Mountains. Our focus is mainly self catering and camping groups but we do offer meals. A small kiosk is available with the most basic necessities. Hakusembe River Lodge is situated on the Kavango River and offers a small camping site and chalets. The thatched main lodge area has a reception, small shop, swimming pool, restaurant, bar with a small seating area. Activities include guided river safaris, an early morning guided bird watching walk, bream and tiger-fishing, and the very popular champagne sunset cruises. Water ski-ing can also be organised on request.
The camping site caters for groups of campers and caravaners, as well as for individuals and groups who require their own ablution facilities. Delectable meals are served in our thatched restaurant. We take our guests on sundowner cruises every evening and will be happy to arrange a floating breakfast on the river if required. Bed and breakfast accommodation also available.
The camp is situated in the northern part of Khaudum Game Reserve. Camps are not maintained and there are no facilities, hence camping is free and only park entry fees are payable. They have many fun activities available.

Tap Braii area, fireplace and thatched kitchen lapa at each site. Flushing toilets and shower (hot) at each site. No electricity. Shade from very mature riverine vegetation. The Riverside Camp is situated near Rundu, close to the river. The friendly owners offers basic camping facilities with shaded camping and a restaurant.
The Lodge is situated on the banks of the Kavango River, in Northern Namibia. Caravanners and campers are well catered for in this peaceful and tranquil atmosphere. Activities include fishing trips and scenic tours on the Okavango River. It has braai areas, ablutions with hot and cold water, water points close to sites, stands with electricity and a scullery.
Camping at Shamvura Is available at either Ushivi or Combretum, which have outside ablution facilities. The extensive enclosed parking areas allows for the erection of additional tents etc. These facilities are only available when the main tents are not occupied and are only offered to guests making use of our additional activities, or groups of more than 4 persons.
Namibia's n'Kwazi lodge is situated in the north of the country, 21km east of Rundu. Our tourist accommodation is tucked away along the Okavango river side, with additional guided community tours, river cruises, horse rides and tribal dance shows.We have a camping site, if you need to stay in your own tent or camper. Take note! The Okavango reqion is a malaria risk environment. Precautions must be taken. Bbungalows, including scrumptious breakfasts, optional lunch packs and dinner buffets aslo available.
The camp site is situated close to Rundu. It has a central camp fire area, a bar, swimming pool and dining room. It has a laundry, shower (cold water only), restaurant and conference facility.
Nsheshe Rest Camp in the Caprivi region is a community camp run by the Mashi and Nsheshe craft centre, which produces Caprivian basketry, jewellery and wooden carvings. We also have a shop available.
The camp site is located under shady giant Fig trees with 4 camping sites and 4 tents per site. All the camp sites have their own clean ablution blocks (showers with hot water), the best to be found in Sesfontein. We also have kitchen areas available.
Kanamub Mountain Camp is set into a stunning natural rock formation and offers amazing views across the plains to the west. Guests can enjoy a beautiful African sunset from this ideal vantage point, and have a high chance of viewing a range of wildlife, including Oryx, ostrich, springbok and zebra. The site's facilities include an open-air (but private) shower, with hot water, a wash basin area and a stunning view; a full kitchen area with sink, sideboards and draining area; a flush toilet, and a braai area. The shaded camp operated by the community, is situated near Sesfontein, and set on a natural rock formation. The camp site can accommodate up to 12 people. We have a kitchen area and cold water showers available.
Khowarib Campsite: Perched on cliffs above a perennial stream and surrounded by spectacular desert mountains, the campsite offers unparalleled views of the gorge below. A variety of exclusive camping sites with braai areas, sinks & shade. Toilet and hot shower. 2 very private campsites in the floor of the gorge next to the stream & shaded by palm trees (facilities at main campsite). Traditional Damara Huts (very basic). The camping area at Khowarib Lodge offers camp sites with clean ablution, flush toilets, hot showers and braai areas with wood included. Enjoy rhino tracking and rock art excursions. We have power points, restaurant and a shop.
The camp is situated on the banks of the Khowarib River. The location also offers a spectacular view of the Khowarib Schlucht Gorge. They have shaded camp sites and hot water showers.
Ongongo camp site near Warmquelle is situated in and around a narrow valley of calcrete cliffs. A natural rock pool, fed by a fresh water spring is your swimming pool. The camp offers good, clean facilities. We have a restaurant, power points and hot showers. We also have shaded camping.
Camp sites at the Purros Camp are secluded sites with braai area, tap water and adjacent flushing toilets and showers ( accommodate 3/4 tents each). A bar with cool drinks. Local guides (on request). Shade from mature trees. Here you will experience the vastness of Namibia's Kunene region together with great game viewing opportunities in a natural rural setting away from the National Parks. The Fig tree Campsite offers a shady haven under beautiful giant fig trees. Four camping sites are available, each easily accommodating up to 4 tents, and each with its own private flush toilet and hot shower, hand basin and mirror, braai area, and kitchen area with sink. The shaded camp has 3 camping sites with basic facilities. There is a hot shower (donkey) and semi-flush toilets (using water from bucket). No running water.
Treesleeper is within easy reach of Etosha and is on the southern outskirts of the village of Tsintsabis on the M74 only 60 kms north of Tsumeb. Tsintsabis village is where many Hei//Omn (Etosha San) and !Kung bushmen have now resettled and our activities programme provides an insight into their ancient culture and present way of life. Relax at your private and secluded campsite set amongst trees in the beautiful natural bush. Pitch a tent on a Treedeck or simply sleep safely out in the open under the stars. On the eastern side of the Etosha National Park, Namutoni centers around a beautiful old German Fort, overlooking the flood-lit King Nehale waterhole. The Fort dates back to a German police post built before the turn of the 20th century, which was later used as an army base. The Fort has now been developed into the hub of activity, offering two restaurants, private chill lounges, a bar, craft boutique, curio shop, jewelry and bookstore. Camping is also avaliable.
The camp is situated between trees, and offer various camp sites with tree decks. All sites have a braai area, light and tap.The shared ablution facilities does have hot water. They also have a restaurant, shop, kitchen area, laundry and shaded camping sites available.
The Tsumeb Caravan Park is a Municipality rest Canp on lawn with plenty of trees for shade. The camp caters for tent-camping and caravans. We offer clean sanitation and self-catering laundry facilities and a tuck shop.
Four separate campsites are available about 5km from the Uris Safari Lodge. Each campsite has two elevated platforms for pitching tents, fresh water, BBQ- and dishwashing facilities. Ablution with hot water shower and toilet are shared amongst two camping sites. For the more adventurous guest the Lapa, a thatched building will be a good option, consisting out of one elevated room protected with mosquito gauze, wooden deck and separate lower area with three cement fixed beds, small kitchenette, outside shower, toilet and BBQ facility. To experience the Namibian nightlife, no electricity is available at the campsites and lapa.
The shaded 4 camp sites are about 5km from the main lodge. Each camp site has elevated platforms. No electricity is available, but the ablution block does have hot water (with showers). We have a restaurant, kitchen area and a laundry.
We have shaded camp sites close to Tsumkwe. Each site has its own ablution block with hot and cold water showers, electricity points, laundry and a restaurant. We also have a self-catering kitchen with electricity as well as a braai facility. We also have public phones.
The comommunal Makkuri Camp Site is in the Nyae Nyae Conservancy near Tsumkwe. It is shaded, has a fireplace and clean ablution blocks with hot and cold showers. The camping fee can be paid at the camp.
The camp is located near the southern border inside the Khaudum Game Reserve. Camps are not maintained and there are no facilities, hence camping is free and only park entry are payable.
Tsumkwe Country Lodge offers 5 campsites, electricity point at each site (220V on generator till 22:00), self-braai facilities at each camp, tents, caravans and motor homes accepted, ablution facilities with hot and cold water and wash up facilities.
Tsumkwe Country Lodge is the ideal base to explore Bushmanland's pristine wilderness. It has abundant wildlife within the Nyae Nyae Conservancy and Khaudum National Park. We have en-suite accommodation facilities and camping sites are also available. We have a shop, restaurant and are child friendly.
