Trout and Fly Fishing

7 Km of crystal clear mountain river with approximately 30 natural pools and gabions, as well as 4 dams, provide variety and challenge for both novice and the expert fisherman. All waters are regularly stocked from our own hatchery. Catch and release is practised on certain stretches of the river.

A booking at one of our cottages includes fly fishing for 2 persons with a daily bag limit of 2 trout per person. Should there be more than 2 fishermen kindly indicate this when making your reservation. A Rod Fee of R70 per person per day, which includes a bag limit of 2 fish, will be charged. A total of 6 Rods per cottage are permitted on our waters.

Any additional fish kept will be charged at R60.00 per kg. Fish to be weighed before gutting and the amount due paid to the farm manager.

All catches, including those released, should be recorded in the Fishing Register on a daily basis with the relevant details of weight and length. fly used etc This is to assist with re-stocking and to pass on useful information to other fishermen.
