Similar accommodation is offered in both cottages but each has it's own ambience. Both have Eskom power and sleep 6. Shaw's Cottage has an additional two stacking beds for children.
A modern holiday home close to the main homestead, very cosy in winter. The garden is fully fenced.
On the other side of the river, this stone cottage was originally a retirement home for a coachman from one of Mr Heys' mail coaches. No fences.

| The cottages are fully serviced (beds made, table laid etc.). The domestic workers wages are paid by the owners but a tip is always welcome. | |
| A fully equipped kitchen, dining and sitting room with log fire. A 4-plate Defy stove, fridge/freezer, bar fridge & microwave, etc. All crockery, cutlery, glassware, cooking & braai utensils. There is an outside sink for cleaning fish. | |
| There is garden furniture and braai facilities. Firewood is provided free of charge, but please remember to bring your own charcoal. |
| Supply own food & drink, condiments, etc. Own charcoal. Please bring torches, warm clothes in winter, sun screen and anoraks, gumboots or a spare pair of shoes, cot for a baby. | |
| Provide your own fly fishing tackle. Full details of the fishing are at the cottage and are available from Jacana on request. | |
| In the rainy season a 4x4 vehicle may come in handy. |
We regret that no pets are allowed.
There are no TV's available.
There is MTN and VODACOM cell phone reception over most of the farm.
