To Epupa Falls

Distance about 161km.

We travelled from Kunene River Lodge to Epupa Falls via Epembe and then on the D3700 north to the falls. From Kunene River Lodge to Epupa Falls

Epupa Falls is a Himba town where their beautiful waterfalls in the Kunene became a major tourist attraction, with thousands of tourists visiting the place each year.

Even with this large stream of tourists invading their space, the Himba people kept much of their proud culture alive, which also serves as an additional attraction to the falls and the beautiful countryside of the area.

There are several camps along the river, where each camp has its own character and vibe. There are also several guides who can take you on a walk, showing you the most beautiful sights.

Shops include liquour outlets, cleaning and washing services and curio stalls.
