Description: Mkhuze Game Reserve offers a self-catering Tented Safari Camp. This has ten 2 bed and three 4 bed tented units. Each has en-suite ablution facilities (including hot and cold showers) and its own open plan kitchen. With refrigeration and electricity available, this camp is ingeniously designed to blend into its natural setting. It offers close by amenities such as a swimming pool (an essential comfort during the hottest months of summer), a small restaurant with limited seating and take-aways and a curio shop. The shop combines with the camp office, stocking curios, clothing, basic food supplies and liquid refreshments. The camp has two 6 bed cottages, four 2 bed chalets, five 4 bed chalets and six 2 bed rest huts. The rest huts are served by a central kitchen and communal ablutions. Camping also available.

Description: Nhlonhlela Bush Lodge offers an eight-bed lodge overlooking the fever tree lined Nhlonhlela Pan. Units are en-suite and connected by board walks branching out from the communal lounge and kitchen. A cook is in attendance and a game guard is available to take visitors on game walks.

The access road to Maphelana is narrow and very sandy in places and is not suitable for vehicles with low clearance, vehicles exceeding 1.5 tonnes, or boat trailers exceeding 5,8 metres. Only single-axle class caravans towed by a 4X4 vehicle are allowed. Maphelana also features a campsite set in the coastal forest near to the beach, with 40 various sized shady tent and caravan sites accommodating up to six persons each.
